DHS FY-2008 Grants Focus on Improvised Explosive Devices

24-Feb-2008

In Fiscal Year 2008, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will award more than $3 billion in grants to states, territories, urban areas, and transportation authorities under 14 programs to bolster national preparedness capabilities and protect critical infrastructure.  State and local agencies seeking a share of the $3 billion in US DHS grants should make priorities of protecting against improvised explosives, creating preparedness plans and aligning with the National Preparedness Guidelines.

At least 25% of FY 2008 HSGP, UASI, MMRS and CCP funding must be collectively allocated to strengthening improvised explosive device (IED) attack deterrence, prevention, and protection capabilities and strengthening preparedness planning.

For agencies and organizations with requirements to enhance their IED and home made explosive (HME) decision support and threat identification capabilities, HazMasterG3 offers unmatched functionality in support of DHS’s FY-2008 funding priorities.  More information on HazMasterG3's counter-IED capabilties can be found here.  HazMasterG3 is a DHS Approved Product for Homeland Security, having earned certification and designation as a qualified technology for CBRNE/IED decision support.

No other system available today matches the comprehensive analytical tools or extensive response capabilities for 118,000+ CBRNE/IED agents and trade names, in an extremely fast and easy to use package.  Its patent-pending threat identification, advanced IED, detonator and improvised trigger component ID and radiological capabilities define the state-of-the art in CBRNE/IED decision support systems.
